Liz and Shravan are some of my favorite people. For real.
I met them last winter while photographing Shravan’s sister, Smriti’s wedding in Kenya. They were such incredible hosts for Maddie and I while we were in Nairobi. While we were there, Liz and Shravan were jokingly harassed by family for not ever having had a “real” wedding. Although they were already “legally” married a few years before, they had only gone to a courthouse to make it legal. Soon after I arrived back from Africa, I got an email from Liz titled, “Nairobi, part deux…”. Needless to say, I was stoked at the chance to hang with them again and photograph the two of them in their Brooklyn, NY home and where Shravan grew up in Kenya. I think by looking through these photos, you’ll obviously see their love for one another and their family/friends as well. An incredible time was had by all.
